Black Magic Gift Bag

I particularly don't like to call this coloring technique "black magic" first of all because it's not magic. It's very simple and worthwhile once you do all the steps. So here it goes...
you'll need a bold stamp set, white craft ink, black paper, color pencils (water color, pure color, or try metallic for an awesome effect i'm sure!), and a gel pen. So what you do is stamp your bold image in white and stamp on to your black paper. Let dry or dry with heat tool to save time. Then you color on top of the white part of your image. You can leave bits of white showing through the color so it will have a highlighted effect. Next, outline the image with your gel pen. I mean, really have at it! Add extra lines, dots whatever your artistic heart desires. This is what makes the image REALLY pop! Last, what I did here is cut it out and used it where I thought it looked best. And there you have it...
For the bag part of the project, I just cut a cheap lunch bag to be 6 inches high and cut a 6 x 6 piece of textured cardstock, decorated it with punches and my images and adhered to both sides of the bag. I punched two small holes on each side of the bag and put twine through for my handle and voila...it's cute and i'm satisfied with the outcome. I will be making these again, and again, and again....

Hi Verena!!

Hi Verena. I put this up as soon as I could. Hey, thanks again for coming to the workshop today. I had fun with all of you. Even though this is not what we made today, Verena seen this card that I made last night and made me promise that I would post it so that she could show her cousin. I hope I did it soon enough. Anyways, I was trying to tell her all of the materials that I used here but I knew that it was way to much to remember. So I will try to remember all of the products that I used...they are all SU product......Paper: basic grey, vellum, whisper white, pretty in pink, basic black.....Ink: whisper white craft stampin' pad.....mini glue dots....pretties kit....classy brass template/priceless...stylus...silver and white stampin' emboss powder...Stamp Sets: en francais, frames with a flourish, she's all that (from the occasions mini collection 2008). WHEW!! I think that's it. I hope you like it.

Hey all. If you know me, you'll know that I make at least one thing about 5 times a week, if not everyday. But do I put them all up? No! Not that I don't want to. It's just that I usually give them away the next day. I need to get into a habit of taking a pic as soon as I am done with it. After typing that, these first two pic's are not mine. I wish they were. These are from regionals again. I told you all that I took lots of pic's and I can't keep them all to myself! So enjoy!!!
Now this next one IS mine:D! This is a design that I came up with only after admiring the one that Shannyn made for Teresa two years ago. Except hers is made with layers of squares and ribbon to top it off instead of twine. Maybe for my next post, I'll put it up. You would enjoy hers much more. I do, however, I am not unhappy with this one here. Anyways....
I am loving the different layers of punches. Aren't you? My next purchase is going to be (if i havn't changed my mind by then) the new hodgepodge in the SU mini and some large eyelets. I am in the process of finishing another tissue box cover for Dottie at work. I painted it and embossed it. Well, I wont say too much until I finish it. I need the hardware to complete it though. OKAY, ENOUGH RAMBLING!! I am kind of amped though cause i just sat down after doing about 35 minutes of TY-BOW(sp?). What does it mean when you really get going and huffing and puffing then all of a sudden your heart feels like it's going to explode? Am i just working too hard? It suc@#$! though cause that's when i feel like i'm going to fly!! Okay, really now...

Hello out there! I wanted to show this pic from the regionals because i just ordered this set. I am hoping to do my own as soon as my order gets here. I have all the glitter and glue already so i am excited to see it all come together. I am upset with myself because when this was project was being talked about, the girl who made them was telling about how she tried everyway possible to use this glitter. It was the job assigned to her at SU so i belive her when she said that she tried every way possible. And the way to make it the sparkliest is ........!!! I can't remember!!!!! So guess what, i will be expirementing myself soon.

Now this constellation looking one is something that happened by accident. I knew i wanted taken with teal and basic black together and this is what happened. Don't you love it when something comes from nothing. Well it's not nothing cause' we do get the product together and are on the constant look out for color schemes and inspiration and are thinking about stamping and paper and ink 24 hours a day and....oh, that might be just me. Sorry....anyways, i'm on vacation this week and will be hanging around the house during the hours that my family and i don't have something to do so maybe i'll get to put out a couple of more pic's. Is it just me or do you all create more than you post? I'm always afraid that i wouldn't have something to say about my stuff. But i guess it doesn't matter cause' most people just look at the pic's anyways. Enjoy your day and God Bless you.

Tissue Box

This is a card! It was made to look like a file folder (obviously!) but it is totally the size of a regular card. I'll be showing at least one of the snapshots I took at regionals this year. There was SOOO many but only a fraction of them were big time inspiring to me. So I will only show you my fav's. This is one of them. You could click on the pic to get a close up.

And this is something that I've done. I was only trying something new out...decopodge(sp?). Sometimes people find things and know that something can be done with them so they keep them. In this case, a friend Dottie found these things that are made from cardboard-ish material that goes over tissue boxes. She bought me a couple and challenged me to do something with them. With Sherrys help, it took me about a month or so to get a feel for it. If it wasn't for Sherry, I would have had NO clue about what to do with it.
I ended up using a crop-a-dile to cut through and put all the SU hardware on it. --->This is another side to it. I wanted to make sure that there was not a front or back to it so it wouldn't be boring. Anyways, I've made only one more with a green, purple and black flavor. I know that sounds wierd but I liked it more. It was sold to a girl at work before I could take a pic of it. I will be making one for Dottie very soon.
