Brayer Technique

These next 3 cards are what we did at our last workshop for the year. I think we ended it with a bang! These were nothing fancy, just plain old ink, stamps and paper. Oh yeah, and a brayer. :) Oh and a sponge... I didn't get to take pictures of the girls' work but I did get to admire them first hand. Special shout out to Pat. She's does alot of stamping so she is never afraid to dive further than is expected of her. Pat does beautiful work. Maybe soon I'll get her to let me take some pic's of her work so she could share with you.
Oh, this one used a circle punch...

This is the last one.

Thank you all for looking.
Oh, did I already show this pic of my neices and nephews and my daughter and son and my brother.

So from left to right: my youngest son Leo, my daughter Jacqueline, my brother Jose (top), my nephew Isac, my neice Adrianna, and my nephew Gabriel. My middle child Alex went to a marching band competition. That band sure does take up lots of his time. He loves it though....

Pretty Girl Card

Okay, Hari and I are laughing cause I spent all day in the kitchen screwing around acting like I'm accomplishing alot with my craft stuff. So here it is, 6:30pm and I jumped up out of bed at 7 am this morning like if I was going on mission. Well I was and I did make 2 things (I can't think of what they are called right now cause I'm kinda fried), other than this. But I am going to show this third thing to you...

I hope you like it....have a good evening! I gotta go and clean now and make dinner now. I think it's chicken patty sandwiches, see ya!!!

Tissue Box Cover (Retro Style)

Hi everybody. Here is another tissue box that I've done, I know, AGAIN! But I just can't stay away from the uniqueness of them. On this one here, you'll have to get a close up to see the cool details going on here.
I made a collage of collages and it came out pretty neat!

This is obviously the inside...gotta go all the way right?

So I hope you enjoyed this and I also hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Thanks for looking....

2 Christmas Cards

I'm getting started on Christmas!! These pic's were given to me by my good friend Sherry. They were all on a poster and all I did was cut them and sew them onto some scraps that match and tie some twine and add glitter. Not too much for a girl to do. Just take it a little at a time... I took double shots so the glitter could be seen better...

A little glitter goes a long way...

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful weekend!

This is my Cowel and 2 quilted cans

Okay, if my husband reads this title, he'll say, "Yup! That's them alright!"

My sister made this for me for my birthday. I love it and I cannot wait until the weather calls for it. And believe me, the winters get pretty cold out here. It's gotten all the way down to 7 last year. 40 degrees was a warm day. Anyways, thanks so much sister!

Here is the can that matches with the last post.

I hope you all have a wonderful day....lots of love!!

Quilted Tissue Box

This is a quick post cause I am going to try to get in a little nappy nap before church this evening. So to tell you a little about this...I did all the tearing of the paper when I was camping with my fam and friends at Carpenteria this summer. They thought I was crazy but I just couldn't NOT do anything crafty even when sand is everywhere. So I did that and then I glued about half of the paper on with modge podge. Once I got home, I was able to finish the box cover then I used bravo burgendy SU marker to make X's along the sides of all of the paper. Then i modge podged the whole thing. Then I added rubons and some paper flowers and rhinestone brads. So when I had a finished product, my friend Nicole said, "Oh, now I see!" That made me feel good. It would have hurt if she said something like, "You showed me that already!"

Anyways, I hope you like it. I'll post the matching can soon....

Have I Shown You These?

These are from a stamp set that I borrowed from Sherry. I thought I was going to create something cute and vintage looking but once I set them on paper, I just felt like making them to be kinda fantasy world. I hope you like this little set of cards...

Oh! And by the way, this backround effect was copied from Michelle Zindorf. I have her on my blog list on the right. You NEED to check out her work. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Gift Boxes

So since Christmas time is coming, I am being inspired to make different boxes and ways to pack up gifts. These are just a few of what I am going to be doing. Today, I came up with 2 boy baby boxes...

...I know the picture didn't come out as good as I would have liked but i am not much of a photographer.
To open up the green box above, you simply slide off the entire paper and ribbon to the side. The one below, you obviously untie the ribbon.
This is my brother and sister. I was so happy they came down to see me that day...

This is my brother, (from left to right) my son Leo, my daughter Jacqueline, my nephew Isac, my neice Adrianna and last but not least, my nephew Gabriel. Isac and Adrianna are twins, can you tell? My other son Alex had to leave for a marching band performance in Little Rock.
Me and my daughter Jacqueline were laughing cause I thought she was going to flip me over or something because of the way she was wrapping her arm around my shoulder.

Even though she's a bully, she's beautiful! Just a little rough....
