These are some pic's of some postcards that I made for a friend of mine at work. I made a 3rd set of 4 but now I'm not sure if I took the photo of it. Anyways, I hope you all have a nice Halloween and stay safe! God Bless you all!!

Flower on the Water

So here is my first try at reflections on the water...I think I like it!

Here is the whole card. I kept the accesories very simple cause' I want the art work to be looked at. Could you believe the whole 'picture' part of the card was white when I started?

More Soot Stamping

Hello, I just wanted to post what we were going to do for Nathalie's workshop. So this was the final outcome and I've already sent out the video tutorial from Gina K's blog for the soot stamping technique. So this would be real easy to recreate...webs are drawn with a gel pen, happy halloween was embossed in white, the pumpkins are stamped in only orange on orang paper then cut out and adhered with dimensionals. Other than that, the rest is obvious! Thanks for looking and I'll post again soon...

Happy Halloween!

Gotta love that soot stamping!

Just Buzzin' by For You

Here are a few more cards that I havn't posted yet. I had lots of fun with these...the embossing, the diamonds...
the colors...

and the carelessness of it all! All except for the first one on top, my artistic side was able to just move the ink around and do what I do baby!

I get to say that cause I know that no one reads these...that's okay. I try to speak to you through my cards and "artwork" anyways....
so I hope you've enjoyed these. Come back soon and see what else I have in store for you...

Dirty Butterflies...

Well, I don't know what else to call this card. When I went into trying something new and out of my normal style, this is what happened...and I am totally pleased!

I am calling this a collage effect. That is what I was going for. But in the end, it looked dirty, but really that's okay. I loved the look. I have another that matches this butterfly card but i'll save that for a later post.
This card is one of the ones we did at our workshop yesterday. All of the bees are embossed in gold and the sponging around it is supposed to be golden like honey...so have a honey of a day went pretty well I thought. No layers here.

This is another method I was messing with which is called soot stamping. I thought the effect is spooky enough to do some halloween cards, so guess what...next month we'll do some spooky cards!!! bwahahahah!!!

Baby Shower Peek-a-Boo Pops

Hello everyone. This is what I made for my daughters baby shower. These are the party favors. I gave 3 of these to 3 little kids. They all asked me the same thing, "Why are the candies like this?" I told them that they are in special packages, and if they keep them in there for 2 more days, they will be the sweetest candies ever! Well, they looked at me funny and checked to see if i was right....and you know the rest of that story:/
This next picture is of a can i had left over from some popycock popcorn. The can was pretty tall and roomy. So i used it to keep all of the cards from my daughters shower in it. She took it home and I have no clue where it is now, but i do have a picture.
Now these are pic's of the view from the hill top of Golden Gate Baptist Seminary. Jacqueline and Curtis will be living up there for the next few years. Curtis will be going to school there and Jacqueline will be feeding him and raising his baby. They are very blessed.
Oh! and check out the big money houses....

And that's San Francisco and Alcatraz to the left....

I hope you're having a good summer...I am!

Just buzzin by....

Hey all! I havn't been able to do any important stuff like stamping lately. I've been caught up in attempting to replace a sewer line, trying to make it to the gym and just keeping cool in this 103+ degree heat. Until now...

So here's a little something for you to look at. I've cased this grid background and never did find an easy way to get it done. However, I did it anyway with a ruler and a fine point sharpie. Then I used a blender pen and craft ink to color. I am pleased with the outcome..
Then here I have used my new stamp set called Just Buzzin By. I really thought these two guys are totally playful enough to keep this card simple.

I hope you've enoyed these...see you again soon...........:)

A Mini Pizza Box

This was one of the door prizes I made for last months Stampin' Up! workshop. It was just something I was playing with and doing some experiments (the ribbon weave, craft white compared to white gel pen) before the party started. I ended up liking it and decided to give it as a door prize.

Also, the cards we made at the workshop fit perfectly. They were 4x4 cards. So here in the bottom picture, it is opened...

I put in little post its and there you go! So I hope you enjoy your day...

Tin boxes redecorated

Hari had been going crazy about our bathroom lately. You know, it's totally functional but not a place to show off. It's a BATHROOM! But anyways, if any of you know Hari, he gets going and you can't stop him. So, he re-did it. He took out our wire rack that our daughter left us to put all of our "stuff" on it. He touched up the edges of the paint. He cleaned out our drawers, well he piled it all up in the middle of the floor and told me to get rid of what I don't need. HELLO!! I need all of it!! I'm a mom of course we need all of that stuff! Muscles get sore, mosquito bites get gotten, oil needs to get on my cuticles at least once a year... come on! So I decided that we need boxes for organization. He agreed...I can't believe it cause this was all his idea and he actually let me have an input.
So we went to Marshall's, and other places, but we found something at Marshall's.

Check these out! Two dollars each, TIN BOXES!! The smaller one is the size of a regular shoe box. This was a find...for us. We never find bargains when we want to. Well sometimes we do....

Okay, so the whole point of the story is that I get to redecorate these to match our bathroom.
I'll be posting pic's of how they turned out so stay tuned.....
yeah, i'm a goof ball but who's reading? Oh last but not least...I'M - GOING - TO - SEE - MY- GRANDBABY- TODAY- ON- THE- TV!! (singing was happening when i typed this)

A Gift for Teresa

Hi everyone, just doing a little Stampin' Up! work...

So here is the sneek peek Teresa! For my friend...

This is something that I was thinking that you could write notes or save little pics or momentos for your kids. You could actually do whatever you want with it; but when I was making this, I was imagining you, being the good mom that you are, keeping a little something like this for them to go through when they get older. I don't know, i'm too much of a dreamer....

This card under is one of the cards that we are going to do at Pat's workshop. I used punches and the last of the pacific blue card stock. The main attraction here is going to be the stamp-a-ma-jig. Practice makes perfect right?

This pic shows a little better of how we're using white texture on white card stock.

This is the beginning stage Jean! I'm so not done yet....

thank you again.

KUDOS, BRAVO, CONGRATS!!

Hello out there in blogville!! I decided to actually get out of my nice clean bed (sheets are washed on Fridays) and come out to post a few things.

These are some graduation cards that I've made. Very simple (do i always say that?) and very necessary. If there is ever a time to celebrate, it is great when it's about education.

Here is another one that we did at Martha's workshop. The white lines were inspired by a ziplock baggie.

So you can see with your own eyes these next little numbers...watercoloring,
stitching, eyelet border,

and my son Alex. He is in the marching band and having a wonderful time doing it. I'm very proud of him....all A's and one B for his final grades this year!!!WOOOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!!

Beary Sewn

What a silly title but i'm not good at naming my cards yet. Some people have the perfect names and my mind just goes blank.
Anyways, here are a couple of pieces that I have where I am practicing my water crayon coloring. I sure do like this technique of coloring but I really need lots of practice.

On this card, I didn't put any extra glitz. Just the sewing and layers of scrap paper.

This is almost as simple as the last one but I had to add ribbon. It just needed a little touch...

And these last two, you might have seen them already but I'm not too sure. So here they are again...maybe...

You like? Type to you later!!

Orange Sky and Joseph's Wish

Hello. I thought I could start by showing you this Orange sky. I used 3 different colors and applied the ink with a sponge. This is actually very simple, just a little practice and you'll be thumping that ink on everything! It didn't seem to need any embelleshments so I kept it simple. This doesn't always happen so sometimes it's a nice change....

I thought I said a couple of days ago that i'd be posting baby cards...well i had to get these out to you all. Starting tomorrow, I am going to be taking pic's of all of the Baby cards that I have been making.

This is a card that i am making for my brother in law, Joseph. I hope he likes it. He broke his elbow and just had surgery on Wednesday. I'm sorry Mary for not calling yet. I am praying for him though...
So thank you all for looking and i hope you all have a beary nice weekend! 8X!
