Here is Hari checking in on us girls to see if we were on schedule. If you don't know this, Hari is pretty good at keeping things organized and on track. I am good at that also, but you know what a bunch of 20 year olds think about an older woman....well, they can't think that way about Hari. Also cause he looked so handsome!

Here is my Leo waiting for us...

Here is Janean-eee....

And here is Alyssa and Cathy putting the final touches on her baby...

So as you can see, the formal pic's are not coming fast enough for me. That's it for now. Keep checking in for more photos....
But in the meantime, here are some more "crafty" pic's....
Out of this old sweater (actually i washed it in dark colors and ruined the shade of it), I made....
my Secret Santa pouch for her gift card and some extra Christmas candy...

Just cut your sleve, sew to close top end, fold and sew for decoration. I also added some buttons to hold on the satin ribbon.....

Have a safe and wonderful New Year!!!

More Wedding Pic's

Well, thanks to my sister in law, Maria, I have some to show off right now. This is my beautiful daughter Jacqueline C. Baldwin! She is SOOOO gorgeous!!!!!!
Here, Maria caught her and Curtis leaving down the isle as husband and wife.

Here is a pic of Curtis and his boys. My Alex and my Leo are to the far left and the far right.

There will be more to come soon....

Oh should I leave you with a crafty picture?

I cannot tell you who these belong to.

There are a 3 in this set of stars. They are supposed to hang on the wall....

Thanks for looking. Be back soon...God bless you all!!!

The Wedding is Finished!!!

Oh mannnn! My emotions have taken a big hit! I'm not too sure why, but I am happy to say that everything went pretty darn perfect! My baby girl was happy, so I was happy. WHEW!! But what happens now? I guess that we just have to sit back and let God do all that. Just in case you wanted to see a few of Jacqueline's getting ready pic's, here they are. This is my sister letting her borrow something used.
This is me brushing her hair for her.

So that's all for now. I am going to search around for who has more pic's...you know the common camera kind. The professional pic's will not be in for about another month.

More Wedding Favors

Happy Thanksgiving everyone....I am having a beautiful, relaxed morning with my boys and my brother. My hubby has a nice turkey in the oven and my pudding pie is in the fridge. I can't wait!!

So this pic is one of Jacqueline's center pieces for the guests tables. The wedding party's table is going to be set up a little different, big candle sticks y-todo!! I'll get pic's out of that when the big day comes...

These are a few more wedding favors that are made up.

I have right now 70 made up. I am ready to break out with more today! If I have enough candy, it'll be 100 more finished, oh plus 21 more candy canes....then i'll need 9 more favors!!!!

These are mint flavored mnm's...Oh and on all the favors, there is space for Jacqueline to write "Curtis and Jacqueline Baldwin, 2008" which I'm sure will just float her boat....

So as you can see, I am trying to put out more than a few different types of wedding favors for Jacqueline's wedding. I have 2 more weeks to get these all done. PRAY FOR US!!

Christmas Boutique

Hi, I just wanted to do a quick post to put some new pic's out for you all to roll through. I hope that these are inspiring to you at some point in you life. I have some images in my head that I would try at some time or another. Like a picture collage using a cupcake pan for the frame. Pic's go back inside the cupcake part and everything else is decorated...and a shadow box turned into a paper wonderland with snowmen riding down the snow hills...
We could all dream that we have the time to play like this, can't we? So here is this shoe. I made one cause they are pretty time consuming if you want them to come out perfect. But because of the ooohs and ahhhs, i thought it was worth it. So i'm on the comp now trying to find the template for it and I CAN'T FIND IT!!! Does anyone have any idea where it is? Here is a wooden box, painted and stamped and decopodged with masks that were delicately trimmed out of a magazine by my son and his girlfriend. They didn't have anything to do one day, so being the mother that i am, i put them to work. I said here you go, do a good job! and they did....

Here are some boxes with slides to close the box, some paint cans, a button bouquet, a triangle box, some trinket drawers, and some small office calendars.

Oh and by the way, my daughter didn't pick the sword. It's okay, i was 50/50 on that one myself! Cool, for a 10 year old giving it to his father but not for my daughter's wedding.....
God Bless You All!!! See Ya!

Here are the first wedding favors

So Jacqueline, and whoever else is looking, can you tell what this is? It's kinda hard to make but is it worth it?

But these, OHHHH! I don't have to ask about these. They are BEE-U-TEE-FULLLL!! Totally Christmas....

Jacqueline's Bouquets

These are the bouquets that I am making for my daughter's wedding. It's a Rennasance (sp?) Christmas Wedding. The colors are red, green, gold and silver. For these next pic's, you have to tilt your head so that the beads could be dangling at the bottom of the arrangement. So this red one is Adrianna's...she's special! And this is Alex holding this arrangement away from him. But this is a bridesmaid (sp?) bouquet. There are 3 total of these.

And in this pile, one of them is the Maid of Honor's Bouquets. I made hers a little longer at the bottom.
Here you go Mija!! These are all ready to go. I just have to pack them up. Now next I have to get my nerves together to do yours! OHHHHHH! I'm nervous for that one so I am NOT going to rush it....

Some Pic's From Our Christmas Boutique

Here is a good picture from my our Christmas Boutique. My sister and I put it together. It was a nice one except I think we got rained out. But we still had a lot of fun getting together and visiting with the few customers that we did have. This pile of cards is what was left after about 10 cards were sold. The next two snaps shots are kinda blurry so you might want to click on this and scroll around for a better view... I think the envelope might have caused this blurriness? I don't know but you can still see the color palletes....

I hope you have a day off today and God Bless our Veterans!!! We thank you all for serving our country in this wonderful way....

Merci Card

Here is a card that was soo fun to make. I love doing the sponging technique sometimes cause you can't really imagine what your card is going to come out like when you start. Then you get going and it usually turns out beautifully! I hope the girls keep doing this effect and get the same excitement I get with the outcome.

Enjoy your weekend and may God bless you!!

Brayer Technique

These next 3 cards are what we did at our last workshop for the year. I think we ended it with a bang! These were nothing fancy, just plain old ink, stamps and paper. Oh yeah, and a brayer. :) Oh and a sponge... I didn't get to take pictures of the girls' work but I did get to admire them first hand. Special shout out to Pat. She's does alot of stamping so she is never afraid to dive further than is expected of her. Pat does beautiful work. Maybe soon I'll get her to let me take some pic's of her work so she could share with you.
Oh, this one used a circle punch...

This is the last one.

Thank you all for looking.
Oh, did I already show this pic of my neices and nephews and my daughter and son and my brother.

So from left to right: my youngest son Leo, my daughter Jacqueline, my brother Jose (top), my nephew Isac, my neice Adrianna, and my nephew Gabriel. My middle child Alex went to a marching band competition. That band sure does take up lots of his time. He loves it though....

Pretty Girl Card

Okay, Hari and I are laughing cause I spent all day in the kitchen screwing around acting like I'm accomplishing alot with my craft stuff. So here it is, 6:30pm and I jumped up out of bed at 7 am this morning like if I was going on mission. Well I was and I did make 2 things (I can't think of what they are called right now cause I'm kinda fried), other than this. But I am going to show this third thing to you...

I hope you like it....have a good evening! I gotta go and clean now and make dinner now. I think it's chicken patty sandwiches, see ya!!!

Tissue Box Cover (Retro Style)

Hi everybody. Here is another tissue box that I've done, I know, AGAIN! But I just can't stay away from the uniqueness of them. On this one here, you'll have to get a close up to see the cool details going on here.
I made a collage of collages and it came out pretty neat!

This is obviously the inside...gotta go all the way right?

So I hope you enjoyed this and I also hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Thanks for looking....

2 Christmas Cards

I'm getting started on Christmas!! These pic's were given to me by my good friend Sherry. They were all on a poster and all I did was cut them and sew them onto some scraps that match and tie some twine and add glitter. Not too much for a girl to do. Just take it a little at a time... I took double shots so the glitter could be seen better...

A little glitter goes a long way...

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful weekend!

This is my Cowel and 2 quilted cans

Okay, if my husband reads this title, he'll say, "Yup! That's them alright!"

My sister made this for me for my birthday. I love it and I cannot wait until the weather calls for it. And believe me, the winters get pretty cold out here. It's gotten all the way down to 7 last year. 40 degrees was a warm day. Anyways, thanks so much sister!

Here is the can that matches with the last post.

I hope you all have a wonderful day....lots of love!!

Quilted Tissue Box

This is a quick post cause I am going to try to get in a little nappy nap before church this evening. So to tell you a little about this...I did all the tearing of the paper when I was camping with my fam and friends at Carpenteria this summer. They thought I was crazy but I just couldn't NOT do anything crafty even when sand is everywhere. So I did that and then I glued about half of the paper on with modge podge. Once I got home, I was able to finish the box cover then I used bravo burgendy SU marker to make X's along the sides of all of the paper. Then i modge podged the whole thing. Then I added rubons and some paper flowers and rhinestone brads. So when I had a finished product, my friend Nicole said, "Oh, now I see!" That made me feel good. It would have hurt if she said something like, "You showed me that already!"

Anyways, I hope you like it. I'll post the matching can soon....
