More Desk Calendars and Cards

Here are the rest of the desk calendars I promised. For those of you who work with me, this is a sneak peak of what I am bringing to the Christmas Boutique. Click on the picture for a close up. So, by the way, Karin had mentioned that I could take this project to another level....She suggested that scallops and feathers and beads and wire and lots of stuff could really jazz this little bitty up if I wanted to. I definately see where she is going with that, however, my thought was to keep it simple and cute cause I am intending these to be on a desk for work. I wouldn't mind going wild with these babies though, some day!
So this morning I woke up and knew it was time for me to get cracking on some cards. Ah-hmmm, but could I do this without my friend Sherry? She is my creative partner. I've been playing with her for the past couple of months and it's easy with two heads to come up with a card. We bounce ideas off of eachother. So here I went...
I didn't like the first one...the second was okay...then the flow came with the 3rd, 4th and 5th. What I am showing you here is the 1st and 5th. I didn't want to upload too many all at once cause my comp is a little old...:) Here is the last. I will have to make lots more baby cards cause lots of grandkids are being born at work.
Here is a closer look. Notice the scallops. And I don't know if you could see the crystal effects but it is on the stars. I hope you enjoyed looking. Come back again now, ya' hear!

Crochet and Jeweled Flowers

Hey All! Here are a few little cards I put together.
A friend of mine crochet'd (sp?) a few of these flowers
for me and I told her that they will be put to good use.
Don't you hate it when you have somethings that are
sooo beautiful that you are afraid to use them? Well,
I did my best for their first uses...she made me quite
a bit so i will be able to play with them alot! I'm
thinking of trying them out on tissue box covers
after they are deco-podged [(sp?)(again)].
Well for now, enjoy...

Next, I made this card for a co-worker/neighbor of ours.
She just popped up on a Friday after work and asked if
we wanted 4 free tickets to see the Jethawks (a local baseball team) play. She knew that i have 2 boys so she figured that they might like it. Oh heck yes!! They had the snacks and a night out with the crowd hecklers and stuff like that...it was lots of fun. Thanks again Trish!!

Some of my latest...cans and calendars

I'm sure we've all done this one before...at least KNEW that we should. Who could throw these perfectly sized cans away? They have tight lids and are wonderful to hide just enough stuff without being a "junk can." At least I think so.... So I just added some paper around and tied some ribbon and there you go. I gave this one to my daughter who just got into her new apartment last week. This is her first time on her own and I am so proud of her. Needless to say, this is not all I'll be making for her.
She'll get tired of me soon, but isn't that what a mom is for?
Now this Hollywood Girl is only practice. I plan on sizing the card better and putting a circle in place of a square so it'll look like a spotlight on her. Hopefully my idea pans out and hopefully i'll get to it this year...I have soooo many ideas and plans, it's too much ambition for one person to handle.
This next one is a copy cat of something I seen somewhere. I think it is on splitcoastampers.com . I'm not positive but I do know that it's a copy and I took it and ran! LOVE THESE BABIES!! Go to redcastle.com to print out the little calendars.
Here are more calendars but these you could hang in your cubicle at work with a pin. Very light weight and SO CUTE!!
I hope these are enough to hold you over for awhile....I hope to be back soon....thanks for looking....;)
